Level 3

Reawaken Your Heart with Zikr

About this Course

Level 3 is the final stage of the Békhudi Journey.

Having learnt to understand the mind in Level 1 and cleanse the energy body in Level 2, we now turn towards the heart through the sacred practice of Zikr.

Rooted in the teachings of the Nooria Chishtiya Silsila, this course explores the Divine Names, the Lataif (the subtle centres of the heart), and the practice of remembrance as a living relationship with your Creator.

Through meditation, Zikr, reflection, and contemplative practices, you’ll begin to explore the deeper dimensions of the heart and the subtle centres through which remembrance unfolds.

The aim is not simply to learn another meditation technique, but to cultivate a way of being where remembrance begins to accompany your breath, thoughts, and everyday life.

This course is best suited to students who have completed Levels 1 and 2, or who already have an established meditation practice and feel ready to explore the inward path of the heart.

This course is for you,
if you want:

  • Deepen Your Relationship with Your Creator
Cultivate a more conscious relationship with the Divine through meditation, Zikr, and remembrance.
  • Awaken the Heart
Explore the subtle centres of the heart (the Lataif) and discover how remembrance gradually softens and transforms the inner world.
  • Live with Greater Presence
Allow the Divine Names to become qualities that begin to shape the way you think, speak, and move through life.
  • Explore the Inner Meaning of the Divine Names
Develop a deeper understanding of the Names of Allah and experience them through contemplative practice.

Your Journey Through Level 3

Day 1: Diving into Your Being

Every journey of remembrance begins with a single breath.

The Sufis teach that the heart was created to remember. Yet beneath the noise of the mind and the distractions of the world, we often lose touch with this quiet knowing.

On Day One, you’ll begin the practice of Zikr on Allah, gently turning your awareness towards the heart. With every breath and every repetition of the Divine Name, the heart begins its timeless journey of remembrance, returning to the One it has always known.

Day 2: The Compassionate Being

Mercy is the language of the heart.

As we draw closer to Allah, we begin to discover that His Mercy is not something distant, but something that gently transforms the way we meet ourselves and the world around us.

On Day Two, you’ll invoke Ya Rahman, Ya Rahim, allowing these Divine Names to soften the heart. As remembrance deepens, compassion naturally begins to replace judgement, opening the heart to the mercy that has always surrounded it.

Day 3: The Illuminated Being

The heart has an eye of its own.

The Sufis speak of the eye of the heart, a way of seeing that awakens when remembrance becomes deeper than thought.

On Day Three, you’ll meditate on Ya Nur, allowing the Divine Light to illuminate the innermost heart. As the veils begin to lift, moments of clarity, guidance, and deeper insight arise not through effort, but through presence.

Day 4: The Abundant Being

Gratitude is the fragrance of the heart.

Remembrance slowly transforms the way we see the world, revealing that every breath, every moment, and every blessing carries the generosity of the One who continually gives.

On Day Four, you’ll work with Alhamdulillah, cultivating a heart rooted in gratitude. As thankfulness deepens, abundance is no longer measured by what we possess, but by the awareness with which we receive.

Day 5: The Surrendered Being

The heart finds peace when it lets go.

The Sufi path is not about control, but surrender. It is the quiet trust that whatever Allah asks us to release is making space for something far greater.

On Day Five, you’ll enter the remembrance of Allah Hu, gently surrendering what weighs upon the heart. As trust grows, the heart begins to rest more fully in the care of the One who has always been carrying it.

Day 6: The Guided Heart

The journey of remembrance never truly ends.

By now, the heart has begun to recognise the fragrance of remembrance. It learns that every breath can become Zikr, every moment an opportunity to return, and every step a movement towards the Beloved.

On Day Six, you’ll revisit the practices that have called to your heart most deeply, allowing remembrance to become less of a practice and more of a way of being. As this journey comes to a close, another quietly begins, one that continues to unfold with every breath, every prayer, and every remembrance.

What You'll Gain:

Awakening the Heart

Experience Zikr as a living practice that gradually softens the heart and deepens your awareness of the Divine.

Living Relationship with the Divine

Move beyond simply learning the Divine Names to experiencing them as qualities that begin to shape your inner and outer life.

A Lifelong Practice of Remembrance

Develop a rhythm of meditation and Zikr that continues long after the course ends, becoming a source of peace, presence, and guidance in everyday life.

Why I Created
The Békhudi Journey

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of sitting with hundreds of people through meditation, Zikr, and spiritual practice. Although every person arrived with different life experiences and challenges, I began to notice something they all shared.

Many came looking for peace. Others were searching for healing, clarity, or simply a way to navigate life’s challenges. Yet, as their practice deepened, something unexpected began to unfold. Beneath the mind’s constant noise and the heart’s many burdens was a quieter longing – a longing for meaning, belonging, and a deeper connection with something greater than themselves.

For some, that longing was familiar from the very beginning. For others, it revealed itself slowly through the practice, until they recognised it as a longing to return to their Creator.

The Békhudi Journey grew from witnessing that unfolding, again and again.

It follows three stages, with each level laying the foundation for the next:

Level 1Know the Mind through mindfulness, meditation, and self-awareness.

Level 2Cleanse the Energy Body through chakra meditation, emotional healing, and reflective practice.

Level 3Awaken the Heart through Zikr, the Divine Names, and the Lataif.

For me, meditation has never been about emptying the mind for its own sake. It is a way of quietening the noise so the heart can begin to remember what it has always known.

My hope is that these practices continue to accompany you long after each course has ended, becoming a quiet companion on your own journey back to yourself, and ultimately, back to your Creator.

Yours in peace,

Tehmina Mansoor

I took a Zikr meditation course with Tehmina over Ramzan, and the entire journey was in no uncertain terms: life changing. When you are so caught up with life and its daily grind, you forget the need for a reset and rewind, until your mind, body and situation literally pushes you towards it. It’s usually a hard stop, and that hard stop is a redirection. I discovered Be-khudi at a point in time when life forced a reset on me, and in the midst of that reset, what started out as a very unexpected forward on a social group on WhatsApp, led me to explore the Be-khudi space and its program further. They say sometimes the universe sends signs, and this had to be one of them for me. The Zikr meditation and breath-work course was a godsend! It’s hard to explain the depth of balance that this course was actually able to achieve. It guided me towards stopping, reflecting, getting centered again, and really achieving a deeper connection with God and self. The experience was nothing short of transformational. I highly recommend this program to anyone looking for some much needed stillness and peace. If I use one word to describe the feeling after walking out of each session I would say: felicity.

I did Level 3, which included Kundalini Breathwork along with Zikr, at Be-khudi recently, and it was a very relaxed, lovely experience. Tehmina guided us with her gentle voice throughout the meditation and took us deep within our body, mind and heart. Each session, we tapped on a different name and attribute of Allah which she would explain in the beginning. We chanted together, in sync, and took in the collective energy from one another. Needless to say, Tehmina’s space has a certain peace and serenity to it, that helps bring us to Oneness, and also on a similar frequency with one another. Having the chance to activate our throat chakra and really chant out loud with the Names helped me feel all the tingles and movement within my body and spirit. We ended the sessions in a deep state of shavasana, while listening to our guide sharing ancient wisdom along with Sufi references, which really elevated my state and sent tears of gratitude, as I lay there peacefully. Tehmina would have refreshing water infused with either lemon, cucumbers or rose petals for us to hydrate ourselves with, post each session and I went to sleep very peacefully on the nights she held the meditations. Apart from the in person sessions, Tehmina would share with us daily meditation practices as well as send reminders to do so. Our time together flew very quickly and beautifully. I highly recommend this to whoever wants a break from their everyday, busy life. If you are seeking peace, silence, or a place to just go to connect with yourself, then Be-khudi is the right place for you to uplift your spirit. I look forward to practicing more breathing together in the future, Inshaa Allah!

I fall short of words when it comes to describing my experience of the Zikr meditation program. The one word that says it all is: phenomenal. Such a deep, soul-enriching journey it was. I had no idea earlier that chanting Allah SWT’s names would take my soul through such an uplifting experience. In every session my tears wouldn’t stop, they were full of gratitude: gratitude for being chosen to be part of a group doing Allah’s Zikr in the month of Ramadan. Thank you so much Tehmina and Team Be-khudi. May Allah reward you in endless folds and may you grow more and more spiritually with each passing day. Lots of love, light and duas.

This is neat - alumni from AKU-ISMC have set up an Urdu-English meditation platform to help people cope with the crisis of uncertainty and lockdown. We make a big deal about training future leaders in AKU-ISMC and sometimes that means people who have obvious positions of authority, like politicians, diplomats, scholars or entrepreneurs, but sometimes it means taking a lead in more personal capacities to try and make things better for others.

I'm truly impressed and humbled by Tehmina Mansoor and Zohaib Zuby. They are definitely demonstrating the kind of leadership that makes me proud to be part of AKU.
